In light of the changes this year has demanded of all of us, we will be bringing you this year's annual gala virtually. We appreciate that this has been a very difficult year, and hope that a celebratory night from the comfort of your home lifts spirits and showcases what we can all look forward to when we can head to #NRBLibraries again!

Here are 6 things you need to know about #ANightatTheLibrary.

1) This is the third edition of our annual gala, in which we aim to raise awareness and resources to restore #NRBLibraries.

2) In 2019, our inaugural fundraiser garnered KES 3.4M to support our 2020 operations. Asanteni sana!

3) With help from Dubai Cares, National Bank of Kenya and International Publishers Association, the restoration of the Kaloleni Library was completed in June 2020. The restoration of Eastlands Library is 15 weeks in, with support from Sharjah World Book Capital. The 2019 gala helped to solidify all of these partnerships for #NRBLibraries!

4) The 2020 edition will be a virtual event - a first of its kind due to the restrictions on gatherings this year following rising Covid19 numbers and an evening curfew that will continue until 4th January 2021.

5) This year's gala will stream live on the 11th of December from 7.30pm, from the historic McMillan Memorial Library right in the beating heart of Nairobi City!

6) The theme of the gala this year is 'Mask-a-Rade' - a fitting juxtaposition to match the the times we are all currently living in.
