Launch of Jalada 07: After+Life

Jalada Africa launched their new anthology, Jalada 07: After+Life,at the McMillan Memorial Library on Friday 31st May. A series of reflections that bear fresh and insightful literary takes on the question of life after death, the journal consists of poetic dirges, new myths and short stories by writers based in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa and USA, among others. The public event included a panel conversation with featured authors moderated by 2 Girls and A Pod, dramatised readings and short film screenings. Free tickets also included a special tour of the National Archives and its collection of rare African artifacts related to the burial practices and myths of different African communities.
