KALI! LIVE Presents: Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor

KALI LIVE! presents Kenyan author Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor whose second book THE DRAGONFLY SEA was released in March 2019.

Her first novel, DUST, was published by Alfred A. Knopf and Kwani Trust to critical acclaim and was shortlisted for the Folio Prize. She won The Caine Prize for African Writing in 2003 for her short story, THE WEIGHT OF WHISPERS, also published by Kwani Trust. Owuor has also been a recipient of the Iowa Writers’ Fellowship and a Lannan Foundation resident. Her work has appeared in McSweeney’s and other publications, and she has been a TEDx Nairobi speaker.

Owuor will be in conversation with writer and political analyst Nanjala Nyabola. They will discuss her new book and much more! The event will be followed by book signing, with Prestige Bookshop selling the book at the venue
