World Cities Day
Designated as World Cities Day by the United Nations, 31st October is a day focused on urbanisation an addressing specific challenges related to it.
This year, the theme of the day is “Changing the world: innovations and better life for future generations”. Join Naipolitans: Urban Enthusiasts Getting Together and other partners for a Nairobi Edition celebrating the diversity of our city, its history and heritage from a planning perspective. We will look at research work and projects going on within the city as well as dialogue and discuss various characteristics that surround and affect our lives as urban dwellers.
Among the items lined up include displays and discussions of previous and existing city plans that looks at various aspects of the city from a historical urban planning perspective as well as the challenges that have come with this. A discussion involving policy makers, planners, and other professionals will also be held in line with various themes that touch on urbanisation.
